Victoria Yan was a research intern with The Hamilton Project. She is a rising senior at Stanford University studying Economics with additional coursework in Law and Statistics. Prior to joining Brookings, Victoria interned at Innovations for Poverty Action, where she supported consumer protection research in low- and middle-income countries. Before that, she worked as a research assistant at the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research studying the effectiveness of homelessness policy in California. Victoria is broadly interested in the causes and consequences of homelessness, mental illness, and poverty in the United States and the world.
